Center Director

LadyBug Academy is looking for talented individual to fill a Center Director position. We look for committed professional, who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, while effectively and efficiently running all center operations.

The qualified candidate will:


  • Be responsible for the entire center logistic, ensuring its smooth operation in accordance with company and state licensing standards.

  • Be managing a budget, labor and other controllable expenses and receivables.

  • Be responsible for hiring new staff, maintaining child - teacher ratio in each classroom, for staff development and training.

  • Promote the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the company a provider of choice in education programs in the Merrifield, VA and surrounding areas.



  • Be 21 years of age or older.

  • Have at least 48 semester hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other fields relating to group work with children. (or otherwise meet VDSS licensing standards)

  • Management Experience

  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of children and parents.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Love working with children.

  • Be a positive role model.

Job Type: Full-time 8:30 - 5:30 with 1h lunch break

Infant Lead Teacher

LadyBug Academy is looking for experienced lead teachers for Infant classroom. 


The qualified candidate will:

* Be committed to helping LadyBug Academy continue to set the standard for high quality child care at every level.

* Meet the individual needs of the children. * Work closely with the Center Director to implement developmentally appropriate activities based on Reggie Emilia philosophy .

 * Participate in staff trainings and required teacher trainings.

* Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with families.

* Interact with all children to support play, exploration and learning.

* Be able to communicate effectively with center director(s).

* Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children.

* Be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must love working with kids


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -- (Must have one of the following): * Current CDA; OR * Current and active enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor degree program or a high school diploma with the willingness to further their education in early childhood. Must have 6 months experiences in a school setting. Must be willing to complete DSS 10 hour training before employment.
