WHEN CAN WE ENROLL CHILDREN TO YOUR PROGRAMS?
LadyBug Academy is accepting applicants of all ages, to all our programs now. Don't wait until the last moment. Spots may be taken quickly. Please check out our enrollment process.
DO YOU SERVE SNACK/LUNCH FOR THE CHILDREN?
We partner with the Good Food Company to provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks for all Toddlers, Two's, and Pre K children, at an additional fee. Parents are welcome to provide a packed lunch for their children or enroll their children in our monthly lunch program. For more information on catering, please click here.
Please note, because of the sensitivity of an infant’s diet and to maintain consistency with home feeding regimes, we do not provide any food for Infants. Parents are responsible for bringing their child’s food daily.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
LadyBug Academy is open Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 6:30pm.
WHAT AGES DOES YOUR PROGRAM SERVE?
LadyBug Academy provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.
WHEN CAN I SEE THE LADYBUG ACADEMY SPACE?
The schedule for tours is Tuesday and Thursday from 10am - 2pm. Please call our office to schedule. If you would like to enroll right now, please contact our director Cristina Reed at 703 814 5514 or 703 849 8000. Cristina will provide you with more specific information on our operation and show you the space as is.
DO YOU CLOSE FOR SUMMER?
No, we are a year-round program. Our academic year runs from September to June. Our summer curriculum follows the same daily schedule as the academic year program; however it is play based and focused on summer activities. We are closed for two days every summer for Professional Development. These closure dates will be announced in advance.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS?
A report containing daily highlights, including feeding and napping schedules, as well as photos from our enrichment activities will be sent to every parent via the Brightwheel app. Parents can register on Brightwheel to monitor their child’s activity at LadyBug Academy. We also communicate with parents daily during drop-off and pick-up, and host parent-teacher conferences in the spring and fall.
DO YOU RUN A BACKGROUND CHECK ON YOUR EMPLOYEES?
Yes. All our employees undergo a fingerprint criminal background check and sex offender background check prior to employment.
DO YOU HAVE SIBLINGS PRIVILEGE?
LadyBug Academy prioritizes the siblings of enrolled students within our enrollment decisions. We also offer sibling privilege and provide a 10% tuition discount for additional children and military families.
WHAT IS YOUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY?
We loosely follow the Fairfax Schools Department's inclement weather policy. In the case of inclement weather, we will provide families with updated information via Brightwheel, our website, school voicemail, and the weather hotline by 5 am.
