In this section, we have compiled some of the frequently asked questions that we have received over the last couple of years. If there is something we missed, please reach out and a member of our staff will get in touch with you.

  • WHEN CAN WE ENROLL CHILDREN TO YOUR PROGRAMS?
    LadyBug Academy is accepting applicants of all ages, to all our programs now. Don't wait until the last moment. Spots may be taken quickly. Please check out our enrollment process.
  • DO YOU SERVE SNACK/LUNCH FOR THE CHILDREN?
    We partner with the Good Food Company to provide breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for all children 13 months and up, at an additional fee. Parents are welcome to provide a packed lunch for their children, which must be labeled and dated daily, or enroll their children in our monthly food program. For more information on catering, please contact us. Please note, because of the sensitivity of an infant’s diet and to maintain consistency with home feeding regimes, we do not provide any food for Infants under the age of 13 months. Parents are responsible for bringing their child’s food daily. ​
  • WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
    LadyBug Academy at Meffieifled is open Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm. LadyBug Academy in Arlington is open Monday - Friday from 7:30am - 6pm.
  • WHAT AGES DOES YOUR PROGRAM SERVE?
    LadyBug Academy provides care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.
  • WHEN CAN I SEE THE LADYBUG ACADEMY SPACE?
    We currently schedule virtual tours at ladybug Academy, and in - person tours upon previous registration. We are happy to show you our facilities and tell you more about our unique education program. Please contact the us to schedule a virtual or in person tour.
  • DO YOU CLOSE FOR SUMMER?
    No, we are a year-round program. Our academic year runs from September to June. Our summer curriculum follows the same daily schedule as the academic year program; however in the summer our program is summer activities focused; it is play based and focused on summer fun like water play and more.
  • HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS?
    A report containing daily highlights, including feeding and napping schedules, as well as photos from our enrichment activities will be sent to every parent via the Brightwheel app. Parents can register on Brightwheel to monitor their child’s activity at LadyBug Academy.
  • DO YOU RUN A BACKGROUND CHECK ON YOUR EMPLOYEES?
    Yes. All our employees undergo a fingerprint criminal background check and sex offender background, as well as child abuse and neglect search check prior to employment for all states they live in the past 5 years.
  • DO YOU HAVE SIBLINGS PRIVILEGES?
    LadyBug Academy prioritizes the siblings of enrolled students within our enrollment decisions. We also offer sibling privilege and provide a 10% tuition discount for additional 2nd child and 15% for any additinal children.
  • WHAT IS YOUR INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY?
    We follow the Arlington Public Schools for Courthouse location and Fairfax Public Schools inclement weather policy for Merrifield location. In the event of inclement weather, we will provide families with updated information via Brightwheel, by 6:00pm the day before the possible weather-related closure.
